Major’s Introduction
We are delighted to announce this year’s San Isidro Fair. Our fair embodies Castalla’s perseverance and entrepreneurial spirit, and, just nineteen years after it was first held, it has become a leading event not only at a local level, but also for the province and the region.
This success is due to the fact that, during these nineteen years, we have not only consolidatedthe fair, but have also improved it and raised the level of the services and attractions offered. This has resulted in a steady increase in the number of visitors. The difficult national and international conditions in recent years have led the Town Hall and other institutions involved in the Fair (such as the Castalla Automobile Association) not only to maximise their efforts to make the Fair as attractive as ever, but also to retain old visitors and attract new ones.
We, in Castalla, consider the San Isidro Fair to be one of the highlights of a calendar already packed with fiestas. We reserve these special days for sharing with friends and family, and love the way in which the events transform our streets for a few days every year. We invite you to share in the joy and excitement which is our fiesta. Let’s have fun!
